Memories of the Future, a new exhibition curated by Marco Capaldo, launches in London today. The exhibition showcases 14 artists who have been tasked with responding to Capaldo’s idea that “memories are not immutable experiences existing only in our past, but rather ever-evolving experiences that continuously shape and inform our future.” The exhibition features paintings, sculptures, photography and an installation in the style of John Giorno’s revolutionary Dial-A-Poem ‘free poetry service’, first shown at MoMA in 1970. Memories of the Future launches today at Frieze and will run until 19 October.
