We’re going to be honest here, before this mix we hadn’t really considered what music would make a fitting soundtrack for self-radicalisation. The process of an individual becoming affiliated with a radical group’s ideology seemed like an unlikely muse. But apparently that doesn’t stand for Darcy Baylis, who personally defines the action as practicing empathy, not getting caught up in language, showing compassion to others and increasing your presence.
His advice for self-radicalisation is, “Shame the atrocities happening in our country. Ask your friends what they think about it. Ask someone you look up to how they do it. Be patient. Don’t think about it too much. Also there are no rules. Do whatever you want.” We dig the sound of that. Also, when was the last time you got such good life advice from a mix?
