Space! You can drive a few hours in any direction and find vast natural landscapes. Solitude in nature is hard to find travelling around Europe.

Berlin, kind of.
What do you do?
I’m modelling at the moment and just started a degree… finally.
What brings you home?
Every year I have a choice to stay and deal with months of freezing cold in Germany or go home and break it up with a few months of summer. It’s hard to say no to that. And I have a 16 year old Labrador back in Melbourne I’m obsessed with. Plus also friends and family of course.
What’s something Australia has you can’t get anywhere else?
The humour maybe? It’s pretty one of a kind. I haven’t been to many places where people take the piss as much as Australians do.
What’s something Australia needs?
Cheaper everything! I also reckon it would be nice if you could take dogs into more public places, dogs in Berlin can go almost anywhere with their owners, they’re almost considered human. It’s really cool.
What do you do when you feel homesick?
Watch Kath and Kim.

Jordan Drysdale.

At this moment, the always wonderful, Melbourne. I’ve spent the past two years living between Berlin, London and Melbourne.

What draws you home?
Family, the thriving energy of young creatives and Inner Varnika.
What draws you away?
Getting too comfortable. I think it’s important to throw yourself into unknown territory throughout your existence. It’s the best way to understand yourself, the world and the people around you.

My tiny Tic Tac-teeth dogs – Waffles and Blossom.

The incredible network of friendship and initiative that transcends throughout Melbourne. What we do best is work hard, play hard and encourage one another.
