Happy Monday! The new week is here and with it comes the chance to delve deep into some fresh culture and fashion. Here’s your latest look at the i-D Guide.

Wear… Mulberry and Axel Arigato’s new link-up
Bringing Mulberry to the eyelines of Gen Z audiences and Axel Arigato to the storied world of the luxury consumer, this unexpected but gorgeously executed collaboration between the two brands has given us some incredible pieces: sneakers, denim and, of course, handbags. The Bayswater x Axel weekend bag is your new must-have.

Snag… Haeckels’ Neutral Reculver Candle
The much talked-about Margate brand — famed for taking seaweed from British shores and turning it into veritably great skincare — also does home goods. Like this candle, designed to transport you to their very own spa, with invigorating scents of green mandarin, cassis, neroli and pink pepper. Buy yours here.
Watch… A Day and the Life of Dodge E. Cherry
To celebrate the release of their SS23 collection, emerging LA-based skate and cannabis brand Cherry World collide with the streets of East London via a new smile-inducing claymation short film by i-D fave Frank Lebon entitled A Day and the Life of Dodge E. Cherry. If you’re not squeamish, watch it above now.

and the Chronic Youth Film Festival
Programmed by a collective of film enthusiasts under the age of 25 and now in its eighth year, the Chronic Youth Film Festival at the Barbican is often the most reliable place to find films both by and for young people. This year’s selection includes films about sexual awakening (A Room of My Own), silenced Russian youth (How To Save A Dead Friend) and dive bar docu-fiction (Bloody Nose Empty Pockets). It runs across 22 and 23 April. Buy your tickets here.

Read… Luna Luna: The Art Amusement Park
This new book from Phaidon documents how Austrian artist André Heller conceived the world’s first-ever art amusement park Luna Luna in 1987, which featured unique rides designed by the likes of Salvador Dalí, Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat and more. With Drake himself reviving the now defunct amusement park via a huge investment, what better way to brush up on your knowledge before visiting its planned North American tour later this year. Buy it here.
Listen to… Ash Lune
Moving from Mumbai to Brisbane at a young age, Ash Lune is a new face in the realm of alternative guitar-pop. Something about her new track “Sunday Morning”, with its melancholy strings and blue vocal melodies, suggests she has a good knack for unpacking the confusion of young adulthood. A song for the Sunday scaries. Stream it above and check out her IG here.

Go to… Styled by Design: Modern Artist Textiles
Featuring framed textiles from 20th century legends like Picasso, Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore, this new exhibition captures the work of the era when textiles finally got the same storied reputation as paintings did. Catch it at Gray M.C.A. on Cromwell Place from 18-30 April. More information here.

and the new Aries store
Not content with simply popping up in cities across the world (although if you’re in Beijing, you should definitely swing by SKP-S!), Aries have today opened their first permanent bricks and mortar concept store in London’s Soho. Full of animal prints, David Sims photography and an imposing scaffolding staircase, you may find yourself wanting to linger in the space, which doubles as two floors and 4000 square feet of interiors inspiration. No Problemo! There’s an in-store Paperboy coffee shop and plenty of impeccable reading material — including the limited edition i-D x Aries zine — for you to take a break with.
