Your summer glamping trips, park dates and festivals just got a whole lot chicer thanks to Prada. Why? Because the Milanese house has released a cute new frisbee as part of its new Mountain Collection, available in a neon orange, sunny yellow and midnight blue, and printed with its triangular motif across the top so everyone knows your plastic throwing disc is better than theirs. It also straps into a cute black adjustable carry case that can be attached to your backpack. Pretty neat! Advertised as being for “nature lovers and fans of outdoor activities,” the entire collection has very strong Victoria Beckham doing army training in the Spice World movie energy.
The Mountain collection is the follow-up to last month’s summery Coast collection, both part of Prada’s new Outdoor label, “an exclusive collection dedicated to the mountains’ authenticity and sports activities”. Along with the world’s most boujee frisbee are a bunch of other camping and trekking gear and accessories. Sleek stainless steel lunch boxes, lunch bowls, water bottles and cutlery are the perfect containers to elevate your minestrone soup and ham sandwiches. And there are also sets of blue and black dog collars, harnesses and leashes for walkies/Pride parades; not to mention a gorge bottle green hammock and a fluorescent yoga mat to help you relax and rejuvenate in style.
This isn’t the first time Prada have released unexpected lifestyle items — the brand dropped a stunning tic-tac-toe game just two months ago. This latest release also places Prada at the forefront of a wave of luxury houses turning their attention to high-end lifestyle trinkets, with another of the most noteworthy examples being Saint Laurent’s Rive Droite line.
Here, though, alongside the fun accessories, you’ll also find a line of block-colour utility clothing adorned with the iconic Prada logo, including cropped overalls, giant-soled trainers and nylon booties, bags and jackets. What’s more, the latter two are made out of regenerated yarns and recycled ocean plastics, building on the house’s recent commitments to more ecologically responsible production practices.
Incredibly stylish and serving “I’d rather be on the Amalfi Coast”, the collection is currently available to buy from the Prada website.
