versace go rural in spring/summer 17 campaign

Edie Campbell and Anna Ewers are a breath of fresh air.

Versace’s refreshing spring/summer 17 campaign is an uncharacteristically relaxed venture for the opulent label. Shot in Kentucky, Edie Campbell and Anna Ewers shine in the fresh air — though let’s be honest, the real stars here aren’t any of the models. Routine favourite Gigi Hadid is absent, despite starring in a string of campaigns for the house earlier in the year. We suspect she will return to model the result of Zayn Malik’s upcoming Versus Versace capsule collection.

The Kentucky outing is the second consecutive campaign Bruce Webber has shot for the label, following the autumn/winter 16 tribute to Chicago he and Donatella conceived. That series was his first collaboration with the Versace matriarch in 20 years, and if this second campaign is anything to go by, it appears the flame of reunion continues to burn strong. Peer inside Donatella’s vision of rural life below.
