Okay, we know. By now you might be feeling a little overwhelmed by theories over when, where and how Lorde‘s second album is going to appear. But we promise, this time it feels real. Earlier this month keen-eyed fans noticed a possible March release date listed on Republic Records’ website, and now the Kiwi musician has released a low-key to the point of high art commercial seemingly confirming suspicions.
The ad shows Lorde eating fries and sipping a drink in the back seat of a car, before the screen goes blank and displays the dates, “3.2.17 NYC” and “3.3.17 NZ”. If that doesn’t mark a release date for at least a track, she better have something very special for us instead.
She also updated her Instagram bio with the site imwaitingforit.com, which takes you to a blank page — for now. Finally, she’s booked in to perform on Saturday Night Live on the 11th, which sure feels like an album promotion spot to us.
