and Patta x New Balance 990v3

Snag… AWAY’s new designer collaborations
If you’ve had issues spotting your suitcase on the luggage carousel, but loath the kind of garish technicolour pieces you find stacked up at department stores, AWAY have answered your problems! They’ve linked up with three designers — Palomo Spain, Vaquera and Ashish — to chic things up a bit. Check out the full collection and choose yours from Tuesday 4 October on AWAY’s official website.

and Beats x Kim K
Great sounding and sexy looking, our queen Kim Kardashian has joined forces with tech giant Beats to create a new collection of envy-inducing earphones. You can get yours now in various on-trend shades — both dusty (Earth and Dune) and fleshy (Moon) — from here.
Watch… Bram Stoker’s Dracula
In honour of its 30th anniversary, Francis Ford Coppola’s sexy and fucked up take on the Dracula tale is back in cinemas with a new 4K restoration. Finally, spooky season is upon us! It hits theatres on Friday 7 October.

Read… Rombo
Fitzcarraldo Edition’s new release, a fictional novel by Esther Kinsky, follows seven people in the aftermath of an earthquake that killed thousands in 70s Italy. In the face of mass destruction, her dazed protagonists try to make sense of what’s happened, and how it’s had an effect upon them. Arriving on 5 October in the UK, you can buy your copy here.
Listen to… Victoria Canal
Victoria Canal has been grafting since she was a teenager, but she’s reached her richest form this year. The Spanish-American singer-songwriter recently signed her first record deal after years of being independent, and now her gentle and ruminative form of songwriting is finally getting the recognition it deserves. Stream her new single above, and follow her on Instagram here.
Go to… The Crucible
A hundred versions of The Crucible have been made for the stage and screen, but Lyndsey Turner’s awe-inspiring take on the Arthur Miller tale is something special. This play, about the town of Salem spiralling into a state of near-delusion following rumours of witchcraft and devil worship, feels fresh and dangerous. The production design by Es Devlin (set designer for the likes of Kanye West and Beyoncé) is magnificent: the stage is surrounded by a curtain of rain and backed by an inky black space that Salem’s townspeople emerge from, float within and sink into. The performances are equally impressive, but a specific shoutout to Erin Doherty (The Crown) is warranted. She delivers a magnetic turn as the fragile and manic young Abigail. Look out for day seats and the theatre’s Friday Rush scheme to grab them for cheaper. Or, if you’re not in London, watch it via NT Live in cinemas on 26 January. It runs at the National Theatre until 5 November.

Tom of Finland Arts & Culture Festival
This weekend, the Tom of Finland Art & Culture Festival comes to London. Originally founded in the 80s in an attempt to ensure the original Tom’s work survived, it’s since developed into a new event to highlight the importance of erotic art, and the variety of artists who work within it. Following its Friday night kick off event at The Eagle, you’ll be able to find VR installations, murals and artwork to buy from the likes of Pol Anglada, Bruce LaBruce and Ella Boucht. There’s also another event happening simultaneously in LA too. Take your pick of the location and buy your tickets here.

and Last Days
Nothing shrieks insane dartboard combination quite like the Royal Opera House staging an adaptation of a Gus Van Sant film about the final days of Kurt Cobain, in which Kurt Cobain is played by the formidable lead star of body horror Titane, Agathe Rousselle. But there we have it. It’s absolutely a thing, it sounds batshit crazy but the ingredients all point towards it being brilliant. Running for just a few short dates — between 7 and 11 October — you can get the last remaining tickets here.
