Happy Monday! The new week is here and with it comes the chance to delve deep into some fresh culture and fashion. Here’s your latest look at the i-D Guide.

    JW Anderson apple tank top

Wear… a JW Anderson apple tank top

Summer’s here and a wardrobe switch-up is in order. This new tank from JW Anderson, in sunny yellow with a big red apple in the centre, is the piece we’ll be exhausting for the next few months. Go ahead and get yours here.

Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil

Snag… Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil

In honour of that video of a fan screeching that she loves Selena’s lip oil at her, we’re suggesting you get on the hype and buy yours too. Unsurprisingly, so many shades are sold out — but there’s a couple left you’d be stupid to let sell out. Go go go! Buy now.

    Read… Shy

Max Porter, author of Grief is the Thing With Feathers and Lanny, returns with a brief but powerful novel about a misunderstood teenager living in a home for troubled kids. He is contemplating suicide, and walking towards a pond with a backpack full of stones to fulfil his wish. Depressing as it sounds, Max’s novel turns supportive while highlighting the strikingly sad voices of those who surround him. It was launched last week with an event at the Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall in which actors like Ruth Wilson and Toby Jones performed it on-stage under spotlights, a mysterious Shy roaming in the shadows. A striking portrayal of 90s youth culture and the frailty of masculinity. Buy it here.

    Watch… The Outwaters

A cult hit in the States late last year, the deranged found footage movie from director Robbie Banfitch, follows a group of four friends lost in the Mojave Desert. Prepare for bloodcurdling screams when it arrives in UK cinemas this Friday 7 April.

    Listen to… Bryce Xavier

We’re exiting the era of ‘musician with a TikTok presence’ being a pejorative, and witnessing the new ways the app helps lift up veritable stars. Bryce Xavier, a queer musician based in LA who’s got a sizeable online following, is transforming the sad gay musician trope into something jubilant and expressive. His new single “Bathroom Antics” is a sweet ode to being with someone who doesn’t need the big things in life to feel loved. Stream it above and follow his Instagram here.

    Go to… Bulgari’s Serpenti Factory

Over the past 75 years, Bulgari have reinvented the classic serpent symbol countless times. In honour of that iconic brand hallmark, they’ve launched Serpenti Factory in Shanghai: an exhibition dedicated to the myriad way it’s been interpreted, and can still be interpreted, with the help of Chinese artists Liu Jiayu, Qian Lihuai, Wu Jian’an, Wu Junyong and Zhou Li. Find out more about the exhibition here.
