Lana Dey Rey this month covers the inaugural issue of L’Officiel USA, answering questions from fans and friends alike. Kim Kardashian West, Courtney Love, Grimes and Alessandro Michele all posed questions to the artist on topics ranging from the future of AI to her cooking abilities.

Kim K wondered what Lana might be up to if she weren’t writing music, Lana replied “I would be a doula, or maybe working with kids,” adding that she’s a fan of Kim’s style of late. “I really like what you’re doing now. I love your style update, with your hair and the nudes and mauves. I’m watching you. I’ve got my eye on you.”

Grimes poses a harder-hitting query: “What do you think about artificial intelligence? Do you think it will be good or bad for humanity?” Lana says she’s hopeful, and she doesn’t think “it will get to the point where we are boycotting the robot community because they’ve taken all of our jobs.” She does exercise some caution, noting “I’ve had such bad experiences with drones.” Perhaps it’s time Lana and Elon Musk sit down for dinner.
