If you’re anything like us, the abundance of Christmas related excuses for getting drunk every night for two weeks straight have left you in a state as precariously balanced as a glass of water teetering on the edge of a table on the edge of a cliff. You are fine, you are so, so fine, you have no choice but to be absolutely fine because it’s Friday and you still have a whole afternoon of work left to do, but you also need a bath and a hug from your mum.
Sorry we can’t help you with that, but we can show you a new Stormzy video and some behind-the-scenes pics which are basically just as good. Given we’ve established that we’re all in a somewhat fraught emotional state, we should mention that you’ll probably cry. Good tears, but tears nonetheless.
The video is for Blinded by Your Grace Pt. 2 ft. MNEK, and it features Stormzy and whole bunch of other wonderful humans singing, smiling and exuding an aura of positivity that has, let’s face it, been a bit lacking this year. The press release says that Stormzy “reached out to fans from all walks of life, religions and communities to join him to show a united front against a backdrop of more adverse times.” Basically, it’s been a pretty crap year on all accounts but let’s not forget what’s important — kindness, acceptance, love, and watching Stormzy hang out with the kids.
Of the video, Stormzy says, “Having the platform to be able to bring people together to celebrate this through a song that is close to my heart and seeing people from every walk of life coming together to sing in the video, all in one place, has been an amazing experience.”
