P.A.M. designers Shauna Toohey and Misha Hollenbach (basically the Mulder and Scully of the streetwear world) moved from Melbourne, Australia to Paris, France in 2015 with the parting promise of checking back in every now and then.
Paris has long been a special city for the brand. From the very first runs of abstract t-shirts, renowned Colette buyer, Sarah Andelman has been a vocal fan, placing them on the racks of 213 Rue Saint Honoré alongside Supreme and Undercover.
We asked our pal Shauna Toohey to keep a diary of all the #BTS moments from her spring/summer 18 PFW experience. Follow her lens for a glimpse into the people, parties and looks that caught P.A.M.’s eye.
Best mode of transport during PFW. Traffic gets hectic so bicycle is speedy and good for quick escapes.
Testing out the waterproofing of my PAM Official Magma MacIntosh.
Heading into the Undercover show. Trending right now: when your trousers match.

You can see the first prototype of an upcoming collab with Suicoke and PAMPARIS Cap!

This was a sticker on the seat at Undercover. The title of the collection was Janus and every look came out on two models. About a third of the way through I realised that all the clothes were reversible and looks were shown on two models to show both sides. Instant goose pimples and even more awe for Jun's work.
The Undercover Janius collection incorporated Cindy Sherman's work as graphics. I was blown away. In this show we saw how clothes communicate and how designing clothes can be a creative pursuit. It was so refreshing to see a purpose other than selling clothes in a collection presentation. Brilliant.
Ferris became Ferrid (typo – lol) at Olympia Le Tan's x Lancome's dinner in a beautiful dinning room in hotel de Crillon with views of the Eiffel tower and golden Luxor Obelisk.
Legendary photographer Ellen Von Unwerth wearing her PAM fang necklace, which she has never taken off for more than 10 years!

A visit from GR8 buyers Kubo and Yasu. Kubo is also the back cover star of Utopia 3 issue. He has Gold braces on his teeth.
Karl taking his bow. Chanel's show was, as always, inside the Grande Palais. The set was a waterfall complete with cascading water. There was more tweed in one room than I have ever seen. I always wanted to see a Chanel show because of the legendary sets and top tier production, and it didn't disappoint. It was totally immersive: the sound of the water, smell of the water and there was even a rainbow for a moment when the sun came out hit the water through the glass roof. All this made meant that watching 90 looks was never tedious. The combination of the water and all the plastic used in the clothing made for a reminder of our impact on the planet and the epic problem we have with plastic bottles. Not sure if that was intentional you never know with Karl.
