Marilyn Manson and Justin Bieber have been feuding for weeks. If you missed it, here’s a quick run-through: it began when Bieber was seen wearing one of his own t-shirts from the Purpose World Tour merch collection, which had a print of Manson’s likeness on the front and a slogan reading “Bigger Than Satan… Bieber” on the back. The t-shirt was designed by Fear of God, who’ve worked with the pop star on tour merch in the past. Designer Jerry Lorenzo even thanked Manson on Instagram for allowing their “re-interpretation” of his vision.

Unsurprisingly, Manson wasn’t actually too happy to have his face plastered across the Purpose shirts. In an interview with Consequence of Sound, Manson called Justin’s shirt a “bad mistake.” In a more recent conversation with Billboard, he said he ran into Bieber in person, and the pop idol told him “I made you relevant again.”

The artist then went after the proceeds. “It was nice that I didn’t have to sue his company for making the shirts that he wore with his name and my face on it,” Manson told Billboard. “They were very much like, ‘We know we’re wrong here; just take as many dollars as you want.'”

Now, in a neat turn of events, Manson’s revealed that the duo are “cool.” In an interview on Howard Stern’s SiruisXM show, the musician revealed that he caught up with the Biebs, who’d apparently thought the pair had a “pretty pleasant interaction.”

“Honestly, I totally thought we hit it off,” Bieber wrote, according to Manson. “Again, my bad, if I was an asshole that wasn’t my intention. Just want you to know that.” The rocker accepted his apology, and promised he wouldn’t “shit talk” him any more.

“People just made that shirt stuff into a fake feud. Let’s turn it upside-down and fuck the press and do something together,” Manson texted Bieber. “It will be the best. And don’t apologise, you weren’t an asshole. [The media] asked if you were [an asshole] and I sort of agreed. I wasn’t out to get you.” Glad to know Manson and Justin are Friends.
