Melbourne powerhouse Ecca Vandal has just released her new high energy track, Broke Days, Party Nights, and it’s clear she means business. Inspired by the universal idea that you don’t need cash to have a good time, the video follows Ecca as she does her thing on trains, escalators and in cabs and hairdressers around New York. Directed by Ecca, bandmate Kidnot and photographer Sean McDonald, the video perfectly compliments a song which might make you rethink all your priorities.
Ecca herself hopes people feel “energised by it.” She adds, “the message of no matter what, money doesn’t actually matter and we can still have a good time — that’s autobiographical really. There’s been so many times where I’ve been eating two minute noodles while making this record in my lounge room that, at the end of the day, I had to check that I was actually having fun and enjoying the process even though I was dirt broke.”
