New ideas, different aesthetics, and a combination of personalities keep our nightlife versatile and fresh. What is the most exciting thing happening in New York’s underground scene right now? We’re living in a time of gender and racial liberation where individuals are being themselves despite heteronormative ideologies and prejudice. It’s so inspiring to see my friends being unapologetically bad bitches. Do you think clubbing can ever be political? Totally. Because social media makes it so easy to get the word out, it’s important that we have our fun but, also take time to “party with purpose.”
