Continuing a recent spate of designer departures — which has seen Justin O’Shea out at BrioniPeter Dundas leave Cavalli and the departure of Marni founder Consuelo Castiglioni (as well as a number of appointments this year, from Raf at Calvin Klein to Maria Grazia Chiuri at Dior) — it has been announced that the design duo Alexis Martial and Adrien Caillaudaud have parted ways with Carven “by mutual agreement,” a statement from the brand confirms.

Alexis Martial had been the artistic director of Iceberg, and Adrien Caillaudaud was an accessories designer at Givenchy before they jointly took over at Carven in March 2015, on the departure of Guillaume Henry (who moved to Nina Ricci). The duo brought a more youthful aesthetic to the brand, mixing the traditional preppy mini skirts and neat jackets with sportswear and punk styles inspired by research trips to Japan.

A statement from Carven confirms that a new artistic director will be announced at a later date.
