Adam Selman is a busy man. Previously a costume designer for Rihanna, Adam presented his first collection in 2013 and hasn’t stopped charging forward. When the 34-year-old is not designing his eponymous label (worn by the likes of Zendaya, Solange, Gigi Hadid and Lorde), he’s accepting nominations for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion fund and collaborating with his friends at Le Specs.
The Texas born, NY-based designer has teamed up with the Australian brand for another installment of the sexy sunglasses inspired by “some of my most memorable eyewear moments in film. The allure of Catherine Deneuve in The Hunger meets the mischievousness of Sue Lyon in Lolita.” The collaboration, which Adam tell us came about “very naturally and organically through friends,” has resulted in sunnies that Adam says, “have pizzazz and attitude” and pack a sexy punch. We asked him Adam to reel off ten of the women who forever inspire him and his work, from Amandla Stenberg to Amy Sedaris.
