In case you haven’t heard the sad news, Fabric, one of London’s biggest and most culturally significant nightclubs was recently closed down due to two separate drug-related deaths. Following the decision made by the Islington Council, the club launched a fundraising campaign titled Save Our Culture that has raised over £180k. In a statement, Fabric outlined the importance of the space as not just a club, but a safe place bringing people together adding that “This is about more than fabric – an entire way of life is under threat.”

They also shared that the money will “help retain a small fabric team, the venue in hibernation and to prepare a legal battle to re-open and stop this police oppression.” Considering the last time they took the police to court, they won the case we hope the same will happen again. Donations have flooded in thick and fast from a range of people and companies, including Jamie Jones, Eats Everything, The Warehouse Project and many many more.
