Now in its seventh season, VFILES Runway has been working to incubate the best in young New York design talent. Alumni of their programme have gone on to receive the LVMH and CFDA awards, be stocked all over the world, and appear on the backs of everyone from Biebz to Beyoncé.

And now they’ve enlisted a A-Team of top fashion talent to help mentor this season’s designers. Headed by fashion icon Naomi Campbell, Young ‘No, My Name Is Jeffrey’ Thug, and Pat McGrath, possibly the best make-up artist in the world, the panel also includes Rihanna’s stylist and Fashion Director of Berlin-based biannual 032c, Mel Ottenberg, and Jerry Lorenzo of Fear of God. The mentors will help select the designers, models, beauty teams, photographers and stylists for the show on 7 September, during New York Fashion Week.

“We are incredibly excited to be consulting with Naomi, Pat, Jerry, Mel, and Jeffery as we prep for the seventh season of VFILES Runway,” Julie Anne Quay, VFILES CEO and Founder explains in a statement. “Each has an incredible vision and are also not scared to take risks where moving fashion forward is concerned. Fashion today belongs to the risk takers and those who will push the boundaries of their ideas and how they are communicated.”
