The elusive singer has teamed up with director Ian Rickson once more on a new production of 'The Nest.'

Having previously worked on productions of Hedda Gabler, Hamlet, and Electra, the iconic British musician continues her ongoing creative collaborations with theater director Ian Rickson; she’s reportedly scoring the director’s translation of Franz Xaver Kroetz’s moralistic tale, The Nest. Harvey is said to have composed the score herself and recorded it in London with James Johnston. Following today’s announcement, we won’t have to wait too long to hear it, either. The Nest will open at Belfast’s Lyric Theatre on October 1, before coming to London to show at the Young Vic’s Maria Theatre from October 28 to November 26.

The elusive Polly Jean has already had a busy 2016. Earlier this year, she released her ninth studio album, The Hope Six Demolition Project, which sparked controversy in America due to her descriptions of a Washington, D.C. lower income community. In June she broke her “no interview” rule, appearing on the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show for a brief performance, before providing the Savage’s Jenny Beth with a three-song playlist for her Beats 1 radio show. She then hit up the festival circuit. At Netherlands fest Down the Rabbit Hole, she performed a short rendition of John Donne’s 1624 poem No Man Is an Island, later appearing at Glastonbury to warn against the dangers of Brexit. She also squeezed in the time to headline both Field Day and Primavera. What’s next? We can’t wait to see and hear.
