It seems the whole world is in awe of Beyonce, including some of fashion’s brightest stars who attended her Formation tour show at Wembley Stadium last weekend (which Queen Bey slayed in case you were wondering). A number of i-D favourites were in amongst the thousands of fans, such as Winnie Harlow, Mabel, Lara Stone, Toni Garrn and Immy Waterhouse, all rocking Beyonce’s own Ivy Park collection.
Model Toni Garrn shared the love for Bey, fangirling in an Ivy Park hoodie “It’s always been a lifelong dream to see Beyonce live as I listen to her daily! Everywhere I go no matter if falling asleep in a plane or running on a treadmill. No one’s helped me through a boring night out or a tough breakup better. I truly admire her and would see her daily if I could!”
20-year-old rising star Mabel is also a mega fan, and even performed a cover of Destiny’s Child’s Say My Name at Great Escape Festival. “Beyonce has always been a very positive role model for me, she’s one of the reasons why I’m so driven. I know that where she’s gotten has taken A LOT of work and she’s always made it very clear that it didn’t happen overnight. She inspires me to work hard and to always look forward! I’ve been listening to Beyonce basically my whole life…I was obsessed with Destiny’s Child when I was a kid and the first time I saw Beyonce was on DC’s last world tour. I’ve seen her perform five times and I’m always blown away by the amount of energy she gives when she performs. Seeing her play at Wembley last Saturday was probably my favourite Beyonce concert. In my eyes she just gets better and better and is still growing as an artist even though she’s kind of already reached the top. The show was so energetic and beautiful at the same time…Oh yeah and she danced to a Skepta track…so it doesn’t really get much better!”
