“I remember Le Petit Prince from when I was a kid, it was quite dark,” Jonathan explains backstage to a scrum of dictaphone-wielding press. From beaded crowns to aviator glasses and flight suits, Jonathan used Saint‐Exupéry’s fictional creation as its focus. But the collection delves deeper in the nursery bookshelf and toy box, featuring puzzle pieces, doodles, paint splashes, and acrylic animals. “The collection is a build up of childlike components. We asked ourselves how do we get to a sugary sweet moment that’s not nostalgic but is an youthful interpretation of fashion?” The result was a glucose-gorged, fun-filled collection that left the front row, including A$AP Rocky, smiling.
