Last night, EDM producer / man in the Mickey Mouse mask, Deadmau5 took to Twitter to rage against fellow Tidal owner-artist, Kanye West. Why? Basically, he was annoyed that Kanye was supposedly using illegal torrent site The Pirate Bay (eagle eyed fans spotted it open in one of Ye’s tabs, when he posted a pic of his web browser on to Twitter). On another tab there was Serum — a piece of music software, set up by Deadmau5’s mate and long time collaborator, Steve Duda.
“What the fuck @kanyewest … Can’t afford serum? Dick.” He tweeted, before adding, “Let’s start a Kickstarter to help @kanyewest afford a copy of Serum.” Which, to be honest, is pretty ballsy, but then again it’s not the first time he’s spoken out against The Life of Pablo singer. What is a surprise, though, is how Yeezy has retaliated. No stranger to a Twitter rant himself, Kanye fired off a series of tweets rinsing Deadmau5 for his name, the fact he wears a mask, and that he apparently brought zero subscribers to Tidal.
