This weekend, gay dance party, Chapter 10, is back at Bloc in Hackney Wick, with Berghain/Panorama’s high-priestess Steffi as the star guest, and her collaborator Dexter playing out too. Charlie Porter, who runs the night alongside Dan Beaumont and Morgan Clement told i-D, “Steffi is a dear friend of Chapter 10, and her set last March was one of the most intense and insane and incredible we’ve ever had at our parties. We’re so happy to have her back, and she’s bringing her friend Dexter to make his Chapter 10 debut, and to turn the party into a total family affair.”
When the trio set the night up, they wanted “really good DJs in a completely gay environment” – something they found seriously lacking in London. And they’ve achieved just that with their special, sporadic parties. We tapped the Chapter 10 boys for a playlist for the night, and rather than give us a bunch of dancefloor bangers, they decided to get us geared up with “tracks to make your Uber driver play on the way to Chapter 10 (if you’re the sort of person who gets your Uber driver to play your Spotify (we aren’t)).” Here we go!
