Rihanna has been added to the list of performers for this month’s Brit Awards, which take place on 24 February at The O2 in London. With Adele, Justin Bieber and The Weeknd all confirmed to perform too, and a tribute to David Bowie planned, the 2016 event is shaping up to be the most exciting Brits in years. RiRi has yet to announce which song she’ll be performing, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a rendition of Work with Drake joining her on stage as a surprise guest. On the night, Adele, Bieber and Lana Del Rey will be among those hoping to take home prizes.
Meanwhile, it’s been announced that Lady Gaga will sing the US national anthem, The Star-Spangled Banner, at this year’s Super Bowl, which kicks off this Sunday at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Gaga adds even more star power to an event that already boasts an appearance from Beyoncé, who’s confirmed to be joining Coldplay during their halftime show. The list of artists who’ve sung The Star-Spangled Banner at the Super Bowl over the years is pretty impressive, with Gaga joining an elite group that includes Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Beyoncé herself.
