Since premiering in 2012 and validating all of our bad life choices, immature hissy fits and quarter-life crises, Lena Dunham’s Girls has set the benchmark for generational analysis of what it means to come of age today. Three and a half years later and we’re still growing up alongside Hannah, Marnie, Shoshanna and Jessa. The trailer for Season 5 shows the expansion of storylines teased at the end of Season 4; 25-and-a-half-year-old Marnie having second thoughts on her wedding day; Hannah’s new boyfriend; Shoshanna accepting that job in Japan, and Jessa, well Jessa’s still calling out everyone’s bullshit. It premieres on 21st February, on HBO.
