Teddy Fitzhugh is a club photographer of a different kind. The UK-born, New York-based 27-year-old has compiled seven years worth of shots of friends and revelers at London night-spots into Club Archive, a photo-book which is equal parts time capsule and study into the ritual of a night out. Shot between 2008 and 2015, Fitzhugh’s photos show inhibitions lost and friendships formed with both candor and clarity.
Fitzhugh joins the roster of the Melbourne leg of the Independent Photography Festival, launching Club Archive at the Compound Interest in Collingwood on November 14, before the festival travels to Sydney and London.
