It’s the Oscars of the British fashion world, and the nominees are in! Hopefuls for the coveted Womenswear Designer of the Year award are J.W. Anderson (who is also up for Menswear Designer of the Year), Christopher Kane and Victoria Beckham, whose seven-year-old label last year scooped the award for Brand of the Year. Faustine Steinmetz, Molly Goddard and Thomas Tait are up for Emerging Womenswear Designer, and Astrid Anderson and Mr Hare are up against breakout star Grace Wales Bonner (watch our video with Grace and Harley Weirhere) for Emerging Menswear Designer. Malaika Firth, who broke out as the first black model to star in a Prada campaign in over 10 years, is up against Jourdan Dunn and Georgia May Jagger for Model of the Year.
Swarovski is the event’s official partner for the second year running, and the night will be hosted 23rd November at the London Coliseum, hosted by actor and comedian Jack Whitehall for the third year in a row.
