Remember when Henry Rollins promised us ‘the loudest silent movie on earth’? Well, that film is very much on the way, with a trailer to prove it. Gutterdämmerung stars Iggy Pop, Henry Rollins, Slash, and Grace Jones. Director Bjorn Tagemose called the cast “bad ass motherfuckers” – a description that fits Grace best of all. Lately she’s taken a no-holds-barred approach to reminding everyone–from Miley Cyrus to Lady Gaga–that she paved their way.
The trailer suggests a Mad Max vibe, though whether it’s ernest or tongue-in-cheek might have to be decided in theatres. We’re suspending judgment thus far, given Bjorn’s solid CV. He’s shot for Louis Vuitton and Walter Van Beirendonc. We’ll know more about Gutterdämmerung soon enough.
