Turns out the CD isn’t dead, as Rihanna posted a photo on her Instagram of her grabbing three copies of Travis Scott’s new album, Rodeo.
Despite being a partner in Jay-Z’s music streaming service Tidal, Riri was clearly keen to support her rapper friend’s (and rumored lover) hard copy sales as she shopped at Best Buy and Amoeba Records in LA in some pink fluffy Puma pool slides. Whilst vinyl has undergone a renaissance in recent years, who knew people were still buying the compact disc? Well, the Badgal’s endorsement is bound to help. Travis Scott, who is currently facing criticism for shouting “faggot” and “queer” at a crowd for not going wild enough at his show, co-wrote Rihanna’s latest hit Bitch Better Have My Money and the pair also appeared as special guests at Kanye’s recent FYF performance in LA, showing there’s some serious artistic affinity here.
