Photographer Brian Boulos has curated a buzzy photo show with a tongue-in-cheek name that will open Wednesday night at Max Fish. An eclectic collection of images of, well, girls, will represent the work of some of NYC’s most exciting photographers, some just breaking out and others already iconic. Catch shots by Dan Martensen, Skye Parrott, Miyako Bellizzi, and OG East Village scenester Richard Kern.

Ghostface Killah and GZA
The House of Vans in Greenpoint is an ongoing indoor carnival, complete with art installations, games, drinks, food and a reliably on-point rotation of live music shows. This Thursday, Wu-Tang Clan legends GZA and Ghostface Killah will hit the stage, performing with one of hip-hop’s most promising newcomers, Pro Era co-founder Joey Bada$$. Both GZA and Ghostface have over 25 years of music to draw from, and Joey’s recent debut album, B4.DA.$$, was pure fire — so you know this lineup will deliver.

Comedy from the Internet
The Museum of Art and Design is celebrating the internet’s democratization of art, filmmaking and production with its mini-festival I Don’t Want My Pizza Burning: Comedy from the Internet. They’ll show 35 short pieces that represent the different forms of comedic storytelling that come from all corners of the WWW, now that all you need is a phone and a wireless connection to create a movie. There will be re-edited music videos, scripted shorts, stand-up, animation and, of course, cat videos.

Paradise Garage Reunion
Filed under Clubs We Wish We Were Around To Party At, Paradise Garage was the place to dance in New York from 1977 to 1987. There were no drinks, it was all about the music. And the music came from the DJ at the center of the raw Hudson Square space — usually from DJ Larry Levan, who helped create house music. The Garage was a spot where spot you could party with Madonna or catch Grace Jones performing; it was iconic. This Saturday, you have the rare opportunity to experience it for yourself at an official reunion party, which will rage until dawn at Verboten in Brooklyn.

Fool’s Gold Day Off
Labor Day keeps the weekend going, and you have to get this Monday right, because it’s the official sendoff to summer. One of Brooklyn’s best indie labels, Fool’s Gold, has the entire day covered with its annual Day Off festival, which has already become a go-to for exciting acts in its five-year run. This year, the lineup features heavy hitters like Skepta, Drake’s BFF Meek Mill, DJ A-Trak and homegrown hip-hop group Flatbush Zombies, as well as songstress BOSCO and buzzworthy newcomer Post Malone.
