    Agathe Snow’s Stamina
Combining live events, sculptures and installations, Agathe Snow‘s work has been revered in the contemporary art scene for its commentary on the post-9/11 downtown scene. In 2005, she filmed a 24-hour dance party to capture her own friends dancing, fighting, hooking up and reflecting on life. On Thursday, for the first time, all 24 hours will be played during another party, this one at the Guggenheim with live music from the likes of Dev Hynes and the Onyx Collective.

Thursday, August 20 at 6PM, at the Guggenheim, 1071 Fifth Avenue.

Girls at Night on the Internet
26-year-old artist Grace Miceli started her online gallery Art Baby in response to the heavy presence of work created by white males in the art world. A fresh and thought-provoking voice, herself, Miceli curates the creations of other exciting artists on the internet, whatever their take or medium. For the first time, she’ll bring a mix of these artists to a space IRL, showing the feminist-driven, often pop culture-centered work of Petra Collins, Amalia Soto, Molly Matalon and more.

Opens Friday, August 21, at Alt Space Gallery, 41 Montrose Avenue, Brooklyn.

    Mykki Blanco and Princess Nokia
Between Mykki Blanco and Princess Nokia, fans get to rally behind causes like transgender rights, feminism and environmental issues, all led by two of music’s coolest, smartest and most individual forces. This weekend, the two will perform together, with Rockaway Beach as the backdrop, treating a swimsuit-clad crowd to the show of a summertime at this week’s installment of the Riis Park Beach Bazaar.

Saturday, August 22 at 1PM, at Riis Park Gateway National Recreation Area, 157 Rockaway Beach Boulevard, Queens.

    Michael Alig’s “The Pee-ew”
In case you were unaware, party monster and unrivaled king of the club kids Michael Alig has a YouTube talk show with fellow clubber Ernie Glam. The duo is about to move the location of the show, and is kicking off a five-week stint of filming live at Brooklyn’s Lovegun. You never know what you’re in for with Alig – past shows have featured guests like James St. James and covered topics including Alig’s time in prison, porn, Scientology, social media, iconic nightclubs and Björk.

Saturday, August 22 at 7PM, at Lovegun, 617 Grand Street, Brooklyn.

    Afropunk Fest
Grace Jones is an icon you don’t get to see live every day. But she’ll take to the stage in Brooklyn on Saturday for this year’s AFROPUNK festival – known for its activist angle and eclectic lineups. The artists don’t disappoint this year: joining Ms. Jones is the equally must-see Lauryn Hill, the ever cool Lenny Kravitz, the influential Suicidal Tendencies, and exciting newer acts like Lion Babe, Petite Noir, Jesse Boykins III and SZA.

Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23, at Commodore Barry Park, Flushing Avenue, Brooklyn.
