Sorry to get you excited about new Frank Ocean tracks, but second best to new FO music, is FO merch. Ocean is as particular about his artistic imagery as he is about his sounds, so fans who appreciate his aesthetics as much as his sonics will be pleased to hear that (according to The Fader) hidden within the codes of his new site there are clothes, shoes and a picture of cute penguins.
The white hoodie and tee both feature a multi-colored go-faster stripe, reminiscent of a BMW M3 logo. There’s some classic skater-boy checkerboard down one sleeve as well. Confusingly, there’s also a buttercup yellow pair of “Yohi [sic] Yamamato Y-3 Sneakers”, which look more like Vans than adidas and would be retailing for a bargain $50 – surely not!? If this is correct though, good on FO for the democratic prices. All this to suggest that the much-anticipated Boys Don’t Cry project is about to get up and start running.
