grace coddington will release two new books

They won’t contain cat illustrations, but one will include caricatures of photographers she’s worked with at Vogue.

The orange section of your color-grouped bookshelves is about to get bigger. Grace Coddington, the iconic redheaded cat-loving creative director of Vogue, has two books coming out through Phaidon. One is a new edition of her 2002 coffee table classic Grace: Thirty Years of Fashion at Vogue.

Like the first edition, it will include photographic highlights from Coddington’s career at both British and American Vogue from 1972 to 2002. Unlike the first edition, it will include an introductory letter written and illustrated by Coddington, reports WWD. Grace is well known for sketching the runway during fashion week and in 2008 she published a book of portraits of her beloved fluffballs, Catwalk Cats. For her new book, though, she will present drawings of her longtime collaborators. Think comical doodles of Irving Penn, David Bailey and Bruce Weber.

Grace’s second upcoming book, scheduled for release in fall 2016, focuses on her work from 2002 to the present – the years in which her cult status solidified after The September Issue. Not that she cares about all that “fashionable ‘I want to be a celebrity’ shit,” as she once told an interviewer.
