Fresh from being hailed by Kendrick Lamar as “one of the illest doing it right now”, Simz is back with more musical fire to keep fans sweet post Age 101: Drop 4 and ahead of her debut album release this summer.
Calling both boys and labels out on their tendency to undress her, or pull her apart, she also speaks of the haters and how she’s moving on up in the music world. “I ain’t even worried bout first place,” she lays down. “I’ve been first place, that’s not the issue, i-D mag, face in the issue.” King Simbi also shows off her raspy vocals throughout the Rascal-produced tune, proving that she’s very much a double threat.
