Get lit with Vivd Sydney’s projections
Large buildings? Pretty good, I guess. Light? Also quite satisfactory. Light on large buildings? Outstanding! Sydney’s Vivid festival kicks off tomorrow, and along with it, an extensive programme of interactive light installations. Some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House, will become canvases for artists across the world. Smaller, more immersive installations will also appear throughout the city, like Andrew Wilson’s ‘Internal Galaxy’-a tiny universe housed in a shipping container. Explore the full programme here.
Get happy with the promising Adam Mundzic
It can actually be quite fun to look at contemporary art sometimes, I promise. Young Australian artist Adam Mundzic can prove this point. His solo show, ‘unknown tag’, has a sense of humour. Mundzic penned some illustrations of all the people who were in the background of photographs he took while travelling, and the resulting collection of work is ‘eccentric, natural and oblivious’ in Mudzic’s words. ‘unkown tag’ opens tonight.
