He’s assisted Diana Vreeland and Andy Warhol, worked and played tennis with Anna Wintour and generally swished around in gorgeous swathes of silk. But many people forget that André Leon Talley is also a curator, who’s turned his attentions to the work of Oscar de la Renta, Stephen Burrows and Antonio Lopez. Now he’s casting an eye on the designs of Dame Vivienne Westwood in Dress Up Story – 1990 Until Now at the Savannah College of Art and Design. It will cover everything from her Cut, Slash and Pull collection for spring/summer 91 to her most recent pieces. Talley has said tht the exhibition is “A post modern romp of a weekend party where the swells meet the activists, where the rogues go vogue, and the vogues go rogue.”

Vivienne Westwood, Dress Up Story – 1990 Until Now will be on until 13th September 13 at SCAD Museum of Art.
