Why does the nipple have to have a baby sucking the life out of it or have been surgically removed via a mastectomy in order for it to be ‘ok’? Why do people still consider female nips as sexual organs when they are, quite obviously, not?) Instagram has finally decided to ”clear” up a few things about its rules on nudity. Areolas at the ready, ladies! Only, not quite…
”We know that there are times when people might want to share nude images that are artistic or creative in nature, but for a variety of reasons, we don’t allow nudity on Instagram. This includes photos, videos, and some digitally-created content that show sexual intercourse, genitals, and close-ups of fully-nude buttocks. It also includes some photos of female nipples, but photos of post-mastectomy scarring and women actively breastfeeding are allowed. Nudity in photos of paintings and sculptures is OK, too.”
Under Instagram’s clearer set of rules, photographs of paintings and sculptures where a woman’s nip is out and about is officially deemed as being ‘OK’ (read: if you have to). Women of the world rejoice! You can’t show your nipples online, because you are real people, but fantasy nipples are allowed to roam free. But what you should really take away from these new rules, and what clears things up once and for all, are what remains banned i.e. ”some photos of female nipples”. Got it now?
