Time to dust down the lightsaber, feel the force and start up the Millennium Falcon. Secret Cinema, the team behind London’s biggest pop-up film experience, has announced plans for interactive screenings of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

Anyone who experienced Secret Cinema’s Back to the Future event in East London last year will know the organizers take immersive cinema to incredible lengths. For that, they built an entire 1950s American town square and had a real life Marty McFly (ok, an actor) hitch a ride on the back of a pick up truck while on his skateboard. Oh, and there was a DeLorean.

So, can we expect a Millennium Falcon to land somewhere in London for The Empire Strikes Back? Whatever the plan, the organizers haven’t given too much away just yet. The location and exact nature of the set up are currently under wraps but SC suggest you’ll find yourself in a “Secret City where you’ll be taken on a journey through the world of Star Wars”.

Tickets will be available from 1pm on Wednesday, 18th March at secretcinema.org/tickets and will set you back £75 a pop. The performances will run from June 4 – August 2 which should give you ample time to practice your Princess Leia hair buns.
