We cried a river during Britney’s documentary, wept as Russell Brand broke Katy Perry’s heart in Part of Me and were confused and… enlightened? at Miley Cyrus’ The Movement, but the next pop star to grace our screens with her incredible life story is definitely going to make us feel like she’s the only girl in the world.

Rihanna’s own feature-length documentary will by directed by Peter Berg, who also worked with Riri on Battleship, and is taking a more cinematic, Bob Dylan – Don’t Look Back style take on it. According to Deadline, the film will be “an unfiltered look into Rihanna’s life and how she’s ascended to become a global icon… much more a character study than a music film.”

We caught a glimpse of what Rihanna thinks of her Navy in docu-short, Half of Me, filmed two years ago on her Diamonds World Tour, saw what it was like to actually go on tour with her in her 777 (7 countries, 7 days, 7 shows) documentary in 2013, but we’ve never actually seen the big picture of what it’s really like to be Robyn Rihanna Fenty. Hopefully this will be it.
