What do you wear to work? It’s a sliding scale between leather and Converse.
How did you get to where you are? The M train to the 6 train.
What’s on show now at your gallery? Peter Nadin’s show Still Life. It’s paintings he showed at the Spiritual America gallery in 1983.
Who are three artists to watch? Genieve Figgis, Marlon Wobst, Bruce Davenport Jr.
Fantasy exhibition? As a Carnegie Mellon University alum I’d present other Mellon grads: John Currin, Mel Bochner, Peter Coffin, Ryan McGuinness, Philip Pearlstein and Andy Warhol. That’d be a wacky show.

What do you wear to work? Whatever doesn’t smell like cigarettes.
How did you get to where you are? I started a gallery with three friends at college in Richmond, Virginia, in the store space below our apartment. We all worked shitty jobs to maintain it. After I graduated I moved to Berlin, where Croy Nielsen gave me my first official job.
What’s on show now at your gallery? A solo exhibition by Landon Metz, followed by a group exhibition I’m co-curating with James Fuentes.
Fantasy exhibition? I’ve always wanted to have a show called Art. It would include William Leavitt’s painting of a dog from the 70s, Ull Hohn’s Bob Ross paintings and Amelie Von Wulffen’s watercolors of fruit. I think it would be hilarious for someone to go into the gallery and say, “Hmmm, this looks like art.”

How did you get to where you are? I interned at galleries (Barbara Gladstone) and museums (Guggenheim) during grad school, and then the Guggenheim extended my curatorial internship, which lead to a full-time job at an arts non-profit.
What do you love most about your job? The constant studio visits, being directly involved in the production of new work and articulating those ideas to the public.
What’s on show now at your gallery? An exhibition with Bianca Beck and Josh Brand, a couple in real life who are showing together for the first time.
Fantasy exhibition? I would love to get funding to organize a show about dissident Soviet art of the 80s.

What do you wear to work? Very cliché. All black everything. Sometimes pink shoes.
How did you get to where you are? In 2009 I interned at Anton Kern in New York. I met Michael Clifton there, one of the co-owners of Clifton Benevento, and later he offered me an internship. I was lucky to be at the right place at the right time. And I’m persistent.
What do you love most about your job? Being able to support emerging artists I believe in and discover new ones.
What’s on show now at your gallery? A solo exhibition by Martin Soto Climent, The Contemporary Comedy: Glossy Mist. Next up is a solo show by Wu Tsang.

What do you wear to work? A varying ratio of leather to sweatshirt and mesh pieces.
How did you get to where you are? After I graduated I opened my own gallery, Stadium, in New York. It was a short-lived but wonderful opportunity to work with some of the young artists I had developed relationships with in college in Chicago. I began working at Untitled immediately after Stadium closed and have been here since.
What do you love most about your job? The close dialog I am able to maintain with our artists and the opportunity to introduce their work to a broader audience.

Favorite exhibition of all time? Emperor Tiberius had a grotto in Sperlonga, Italy filled with Roman sculptures depicting the trials of Odysseus. It was only reachable by boat and was used for excessive dining and lounging. The ceiling collapsed in around 26 CE destroying all of the works, but that would have been a good party.
