Every year, February is LGBT History Month in the UK, and to mark it, the V&A Museum is running a weekend of events from Friday 27th. To kick it all off there’ll be Friday Late: Queer and Now, which will feature a DJ set from LOVERBOY, performance from rapper Black Cracker, talks on queer and gender theory, contemporary dance, burlesque, ballet and a barbershop. There will also be a special talk on the celebrated Alexander McQueen exhibition, Savage Beauty, which will look at the inspiration the designer took from nature. Then on Saturday in Seminar Room 1 from midday, curators, guest speakers and filmmakers will be re-examining the museum’s collections through a queer eye.
