Jak Miller, 27, Lucid Online
What’s the best thing about your job?
Artists that I genuinely love send me their music before anyone else, that’s the dream! Also, the boys I share an office with are some of my best friends, laughing all day eases the workload.

Who are you tipping for this year?
Crystal Bats, Loyle Carner, Jordan Bratton, ROMANS and Pink Lizards.

Karim Khan, 30, Lucid Online
How long have you been working for/running your company?
I’ve been working for the company for two years, joint head of online for one.

How would you describe the music that you push?
Jak and I find ourselves working with electronica, hip hop, indie and R&B but really there are no boundaries – it just needs to connect with us on a personal level.

Sarah Richardson, 30, Bleached Communications
Whats the best thing about your job?
Who wouldn’t love working with so many passionate and talented people? Plus I get to work with my best friend every day and have the opportunity to travel.

Who are you tipping for this year?
Loyle Carner, Sleaford Mods, Huon Kind, A.O.S.O.O.N and Grandbrothers (Aduo from Berlin who are a cross between Nils Frahm & Brandt Brauer Frick and make all their music on grand pianos)

Sinead Mills, 28, Bleached Communications
How do you decide what music to work with?
It pretty easy really, if we love the music we’ll do everything we can to work with that artist.

What’s your favorite album from 2014?
Taylor Swift, 1989. Obviously.

Rachel Campbell, 25, Wired PR
How would you describe the music that you push?
Totally bloody awesome! Eclectic, boundary-pushing and undefined.

How do you decide what music to work with?
We only take on artists we truly believe in and feel passionate about. If I can’t go home and listen to their project out of personal choice (or blast it on my stereo to my friends/family, which I frequently do) then unfortunately they’re not ones for us.

What’s your favorite record of 2014?
Leo Stannard, Please Don’t, that kid is going be huge.

Who are you tipping for this year?
In my totally unbiased opinion, JP Cooper, Little Simz, Ty Dolla $ign.

Jamie Russell, 34, HYPE Filter (Hypercolour)
How would you describe the music that you push?
Forward thinking electronic dance music.

What’s the best thing about your job?
Spending each day shouting about music that we love. Come on? Sounds like the best job in the world to me!? Also, shout to my team, Sam, Christian and Troy who are a joy to work with, and get it.

How do you decide what music to work with?
It’s all an extension of my taste in music, which is extremely broad. The approach I take with what labels and artists I choose to work with, is very similar in how I go about A&Ring my record labels. I’m appreciative of lots of styles some of the nu-school Grime stuff coming through to  hardcore and jungle (amens basically) which means I’m open minded to what I work with, it just has to resonate with me. The UK is leading the way on a global scale, when it comes to new electronic music. It’s an exciting time.

Who are you tipping for this year?
K15, Glenn Astro, Analogue Cops, Etch.

Erin Mills, 24, Listen Up
How would you describe the music that you push?
I cover a range of acts from underground house DJs to nu-soul singer-songwriters.

How do you decide what music to work with?
We get lots of music in our inboxes every day from new and exciting artists and if I love it, I’ll make it my mission to try get that artist on my roster.

Favorite record of 2014?
I won’t be biassed so I’ll choose one I’m not working with… I’d say Todd Terje, It’s Album Time.

Who are you tipping for this year?
Two artists I think will have big years this year are Snakehips and new vocalist Samm Henshaw <3.
