Dropping the “Christophe” and continuing just as “Lemaire,” the house of Christophe Lemaire is undergoing it’s own renaissance with the designer presenting his first menswear collection since leaving Hermès, and the change of name signifying the collaborative nature of the brand between it’s namesake and his partner Sarah-Linh Tran. Their timeless aesthetic however remains the same. This season the Lemaire man was based on La Maman et la Putain‘s Alexandre, the character who finds himself entangled in a love triangle in the sexually frank French drama. Overcoats came heavy and structured, hair was tousled and side-parted and swooping capes added an effeminate touch to a classic collection.
