The ever-turning wheel of fashion has turned once again, with the announcement that Natasa Cagalj – who has previously worked for Cerruti, Lanvin, and Stella McCartney – will be joining Ports 1961 as the brand’s new womenswear Creative Director. Natasa will taking the reigns from Fiona Cibani, who re-launched the Canadian sportswear brand Ports International in 1994, and who now takes on the role of President of Ports NY Inc.
“Natasa is an incredibly talented individual and creative force,” says Cibani. ”Her vision is perfectly in line with the Ports 1961 woman, I’m very excited to have Natasa on board and I strongly feel it’s time for a new chapter in the evolution of Ports 1961. This is a long-term decision.” Having recently hired Milan Vukmirovic as the new Creative Director of menswear, opened a design and studio space in Clerkenwell, and announced plans to launch a flagship store in London, the future is set to be very bright for Ports 1961.
