The Independent announced its first Rainbow List yesterday (replacing the Pink List, because people were “put off by the pink”, apparently) and activist and i-D contributor Paris Lees came in 2nd out of 101 influential lesbian, bisexual, gay and transgender people. Sam Smith was a new entry at 7, Nike’s Global CIO, Anthony Watson, came in at 44, Andrew Haigh (director of Weekend and Looking) was 46th and BBC Radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw landed at 88th. A surprise absence was Christopher Bailey, one of the highest paid gay CEO’s at Burberry, but then fashion figures were generally absent. For the full list go here.
