Cali sunshine and British rain may have little in common, but that hasn’t stopped LA’s Band of Outsiders from teaming up with Glasgow-founded Mackintosh. Band of Outsiders have crafted the classic raincoat in summery colour blocks, newspaper print and a black-to-tartan ombre. They’re a witty, well-made way to work this season’s pluvial situations. Scott Sternberg, Creative Director of Band of Outsiders says, “We are having a lot of fun playing with their traditional shapes, fabrics, and techniques and twisting them into something new and modern.” Their autumn/winter collaboration will be available in both brands’ stores and exclusively online at Mr Porter.
