Adidas’s pop-up SPEZIAL gallery in Hoxton last year charted 40 years of the brand’s style history. Now a capsule collection of adidas Originals x SPEZIAL will see the release of new, archive-inspired clothing and footwear. SPEZIAL project’s Gary Aspen, a long-time three-stripe fan explains, “Growing up in the north west of England in the 70s and 80s, adidas was (and still is) the brand we all gravitated towards. I have been a fan ever since. I grew up loving the sophistication of European sportswear brands.” Elements from the brand’s rich history have been re-worked to create 21st century products for both a new and a devoted audience. The line launches late October.
