Since then, Lindsey’s lips have graced the pages of W, Self Service and of course i-D, her long legs have stalked the runways of Prada, Chanel and Saint Laurent, she’s been the face of Miu Miu, Versace and Mulberry campaigns and to top it off, she wore a tailor made dress by Jason Wu to her high school prom. Born and raised in the sunset suburbia of Wichita (I’ve got a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore…), Lindsey’s now 20 and signed to The Society Management. For i-D Girl Week we get lippy with Lindsey…
What would you be doing if you weren’t modelling?
I would be going to art school, probably still in Kansas.
What did you buy with your first paycheck?
I paid my parents back after taking out a loan to pay for my first modeling trip to Los Angeles when I was 15.
Who are you best friends in the fashion industry?
Everyone that I am working with right now basically. Too many to name… all wonderful, creative people who inspire me.
What posters were on your bedroom wall as a kid?
I didn’t have any posters on my wall!
What did your friends think when you began modelling at 16?
They were either not my friend anymore or very happy for me.
How did Jason Wu come to design your prom dress?
I told Womenswear Daily that it was my dream to have Jason design something for my prom. Everything went on from there.
What’s your favourite film?
The Girl with the Pearl Earring.
What do you do for fun?
Go to dinner, stay indoors, go hiking, run, listen to music, play around with Instagram, tweet, read the news, watch movies and take baths.
What were your last three Google searches?
‘Reece Hudson’, ‘Lexus Hybrid 450h red’, ‘WCW’.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
BEING HAPPY!
