Kanye West’s second Donda listening party had a pop-up vaccination centre

Fans were offered the vaccine as they attended the event at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

If you were in attendance yesterday at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, not only did you get to hear Kanye West’s DONDA album, you also got access to the COVID-19 vaccine thanks to a handy pop-up centre.

Attendants at Kanye’s second listening party on August 6th where offered the chance to get their jabs in the Stadium before the show began.

Which is very handy, given that as assumed 47,000 ticket holders were in attendance for the event, including Kim Kardashian West.

Tweeting before the event, a message on the stadium’s official account announced that fans would be able to get a Pfizer vaccine in certain sections of the building.

However, if you’ve been paying attending to the Kanye discourse, you may notice that the man himself has previously seemed to oppose vaccinations in a controversial interview.

“It’s so many of our children that are being vaccinated and paralysed … So when they say the way we’re going to fix Covid is with a vaccine, I’m extremely cautious. That’s the mark of the beast,” he told Forbes last year.

But of course the biggest news of the night, much-needed vaccines aside, was that DONDA was unveiled in all its glory…for the second time. Third if you technically count its botched launch in 2020. Who’s even counting, anymore?

While some of the biggest news from the first DONDA event was the inclusion of a guest verse by Yeezy’s former frenemy Jay-Z, new material that was shared during the second listening party (which was also live-streamed on Apple Music) also featured The Weeknd and Kid Cudi.

Despite several sources confirming that Kanye’s 10th album was finally going to be released following the event, it’s of course yet to materialise on any streaming service and neither Ye or his record label has spoken about a possible delay (again).

We guess it’s back to the prison-like living quarters for the time being while Mike Dean slowly begins to weep in the corner!
